Leading Like Jesus

On Sunday February 9th, Pastor Ryan preached an impactful message at Watsonville Church of the Nazarene (WatsNaz) about what it means to lead like Jesus. As a Bible-based church in Watsonville, we are committed to following Christ’s example in every area of our lives—including leadership.

The Call to Christlike Leadership

In Luke 10:1-12, 17-20, Jesus sends out 72 disciples, teaching them that leadership isn’t about power or position but about humility, obedience, and dependence on God. As a faith community in Watsonville, we are called to reflect that same kind of leadership in our homes, workplaces, and church.

What This Means for Us

At WatsNaz, a family-friendly church in Watsonville, we believe that everyone has a role to play in God’s Kingdom. Whether you attend worship services in Watsonville, live in Freedom, Corralitos, Pajaro, or anywhere in South Santa Cruz County, God is calling you to be a leader in your community.

✔️ Are you leading with humility and faith?
✔️ Are you serving others and pointing them to Jesus?
✔️ Are you growing in your dependence on God?

Leadership is Not a Solo Journey

At Watsonville Church, we believe that leadership happens in community. As a Spirit-filled church in Watsonville, we encourage one another, pray for each other, and grow together. Pastor Ryan reminded us that Jesus didn’t send His disciples alone—He sent them out in pairs. Likewise, we need mentors who can invest in us and people we can disciple in their faith.
