Sermon | Not In It To Win It 2

This past Sunday (October 20th), Pastor Ryan Albaugh delivered the second sermon in WatsNaz's three-part series on unity leading up to the upcoming election. In this message, Pastor Ryan emphasized the importance of unity within the church, even in the midst of societal and political division. Drawing from John 13:34-35, he reminded the congregation that Jesus calls His followers to love one another as He has loved us, and that this love is the clearest evidence of our discipleship. Pastor Ryan challenged the church to resist the pull of division by actively seeking ways to embrace others, even when it’s uncomfortable.

This message built upon the series’ central theme: that the body of Christ is called to be united, regardless of cultural, political, or personal differences. Drawing insights from Andy Stanley's Not In It To Win It, Pastor Ryan spoke about how unity is "mission-critical" for the church and how our love for one another is essential to showing the world who we truly follow. He illustrated how love must transcend any political brand or personal preference, urging the church to be a countercultural community that models what it means to be one in Christ.

If you missed the sermon, we invite you to watch it online and reflect on how we, as a church, can choose unity in this season. As we prepare for the upcoming election, this series is more important than ever, helping us refocus on Christ’s mission and love for one another.
