Hearts of Stone: Breaking Through a Hardened Heart at Watsonville Church | Lent Week 3
Admitting when we’re wrong is never easy, and it's something we struggle with at all ages. In my recent sermon at Watsonville Church of the Nazarene, I shared how we all resist God’s leading, especially when we feel in control. Pharaoh’s story in Exodus highlights the consequences of hardening our hearts against God’s voice, showing us how pride and stubbornness can impact not just us, but those around us.
But the good news is that God invites us to soften our hearts. In Ezekiel 36:26, He promises to give us a new heart, one that is open to His guidance and grace. This season of Lent is an opportunity to examine our hearts and let go of resistance, surrendering to God’s transformation.
